Russellville native Beth Hendrix has been a member of the LRWS since 2013. Hendrix was active duty in the U.S. Army as a member of the Army Ground Forces Band in Atlanta for four and a half years. She performed throughout the United States and internationally in Europe and Kuwait as a member of the Army Band as well as with her work with Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Bands. In addition to playing clarinet, Hendrix also plays saxophone, flute, and oboe and enjoys subbing with various performing groups including The Arkansas Repertory Theatre.
Hendrix is an elementary music teacher in the Pulaski County Special School District and maintains a private clarinet studio. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Music Education from the University of Akron, Ohio. Her clarinet teachers include Kristina Belisle-Jones and Kelly Johnson.
